Generations of Weaving Artistry

Sirumugai, a tranquil town on the banks of the Bhavani river in Coimbatore district, houses a proud weaving community. For centuries, our weavers have crafted silk masterpieces utilizing traditional throw-shuttle and fly-shuttle handlooms.

Sirumugai Silks was established to bring these exquisite, authentic creations directly from our looms to families worldwide. We bypass middlemen, ensuring our weavers receive equitable value for their artistry and you receive pure, uncompromised quality.

Certified Mulberry Silk & Pure Gold Zari

Every bridal and traditional saree is woven with two-ply or three-ply mulberry silk yarns (known as double warp), giving the saree its classic heavy drape, high durability, and distinct natural sheen.

Our borders are decorated using authentic zari—made of fine silver threads wrapped around silk cords, dipped in 24-karat pure liquid gold. Certified by the official Silk Mark Organization of India, each piece is a genuine collector's heritage drape designed to be passed down through generations.

"A handloom saree is not merely an outfit; it is a canvas of mathematical precision, where warp and weft meet in harmony. Every zari motif represents hours of patient manual coordinate adjustments, bringing ancestral stories to life."
— M. Ramasamy, Generational Handloom Weaver
